<The Shanghairen> and <The Beijingren>

The Shanghairen and The Beijingren are two creative projects that brought together a hundred illustrators from Beijing, Shanghai, and around the world. Both pay homage to the iconic illustrated covers of The New Yorker, and continue the inspiration of The Parisianer and The Tokyoiter. Each illustrator was invited to freely interpret and portray their own vision of Shanghai through their personal perspective and style.
Having lived and worked in both Beijing and Shanghai, I participated in these two projects with affection for both cities, creating two illustrations that carry stories drawn from my own personal experiences.
